On Saturday March 25th we came together and made 50 meals to deliver to the homeless throughout the Old City of Kraków. Both adults and children volunteered to make and handout 50 lunch bags! So many smiles, connections, and an emphasis on hearing these people’s stories. We will start doing this kind of event once a month, which will allow us to invite our homeless friends to our quarterly dignity dinner events.
One man told our volunteers that simply talking and conversation mean so much more than any single item or meal, while another lady smiled the biggest toothless grin when she was given her lunch bag. These kinds of interactions are precious and really help to see the humanity in a group of people which are greatly invisible.
