Classes with the residents of the Nursing Home (DPS, Dom Pomocy Społecznej) in Krakow

You probably remember that recently we were looking for people ready to take part in activities for the residents of the Nursing Home in Krakow. Today we have prepared a report from that day for you! ⬇️⬇️⬇️

On July 5, two volunteers, Kamila Głowacka and Alicja Godoń, conducted a sign language lesson for the residents of the Krakow DPS. Feedback after the meeting exceeded our expectations – both girls, therapists and residents of the DPS regarded this experience as positive and are open to further meetings. The classes were conducted on the Zoom platform, which, due to the distance between teachers and students, turned out to be the most convenient.

The task of conducting such classes was not easy for us and the volunteers, because due to the epidemic situation in Poland, the classes had to be conducted online. However, our wonderful volunteers are not afraid to take on even very difficult challenges, so we managed to implement this project successfully! We are very pleased with the new relationships established and the positive reception of this meeting – we are waiting for more such projects!

If you would like to get involved in helping the residents of the Nursing Home, please contact us – your and our ideas can certainly turn into an amazing work of help!

We would like to thank all the volunteers involved so far! Stay tuned- we will keep you informed about further actions of this type!
